The plan of tour

Abydos Dendera Luxor trip from Hurghada plan such as following:

Day 1 in Abydos Dendera Luxor

The first day’s itinerary includes Abydos and Dendera temple and Karnak Temple.

We depart from Hurghada Hotels early in the morning for the first destination on our Dendera and Abydos temples in Luxor – Hurghada day excursions, including an overnight stay.

Following that, The Abydos Temple of Seti I in Al Belina is about 160 kilometers from Luxor, near the city of Sohag.

Abydos Temple – Seti I Temple

Celebrations, coronations, and processions were held in Abydos Temple.

It was built on the procession route from Luxor’s Karnak Temple to Deir el Bahri at its construction.

You visit a temple complex that has been meticulously restored to its original state using the old flooring layout.

The temple was erected I as a funerary temple for Ramses I, Ramses II’s father.

Ramses II was the one who finished the temple’s construction.

The structure of the Temple of Seti I, also known as the Abydos Temple of Osiris, is comparable to that of the Hatshepsut Temple, which was erected across many terraces.

On our trip, we will also see some of the most renowned items in the Abydos Temple, including:

The “Abydos King List” and the main sanctuary of God Osiris, which is located on the highest terrace and is the oldest site of worship in Ancient Egypt.

After that, we go on to the second stop on our two-day Hurghada day excursions, the Egyptian Museum.

Abydos Dendera Luxor tour: Dendera Zodiac – Dendera Temple

The goddess Hathor’s temple, Dendera Temple.

It is one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples, located about 55 kilometers east of Qena (a city in Upper Egypt).

Near the so-called Qena Arch, where the Nile River bends from east to west to Cairo.

Instead of erecting the Dendera Temple Complex from east to west like all the other Egyptian temples, it is constructed from north to south.

Karnak Temple in Luxor

We enter Karnak Temple,  a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979.

It is through a sphinx-lined gateway, formerly part of a processional road recently rebuilt from Luxor Temple to Karnak Temple.

We next proceed to the Hypostyle Hall, a large pillared hall with 134 columns.

The Hypostyle Hall’s height is so remarkable that it’s hard to imagine how the Egyptians could build such a masterpiece during the period of the pharaohs.

Before we take you to the hotel, stop by the Holy Lake on the outskirts of Karnak Temple.

After a long and exciting day, you may unwind here.
