Itinerary

Tour Program

You are on a beach holiday in Marsa Alam and would like to join our excursion to two of the most famous Cairo must see sights?

After breakfast, our staff is waiting for you at your accommodation in Marsa Alam to take you to the metropolis of Cairo. Here we make our way to the edge of the city (already an experience), where the 3 Pyramids of Giza are located on the well-known Giza Plateau. The

Cairo Pyramids

We are sure you will be overwhelmed by the enormous height of the Cairo Pyramids like make other visitors before. It makes a huge difference whether you know the Cheops Pyramid, the largest of the three, the Chephren Pyramid, the middle one or the small Pyramid of Menkaure from photos and television or if you stand directly at the foot of one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world. Don’t hesitate to ask our experienced Egyptologist about the Pyramid construction and will explain to you (we will now tell you a little secret) that the 3 Pyramids of Giza are not the oldest in Egypt. Their predecessors in Saqqara are older than the Cairo pyramids, which were built more than 4.000 years ago.

Our tour to the Cairo Pyramids also includes a visit to the

Great Sphinx of Giza

The Great Sphinx of Giza, a massive statue located below the pyramids on the Giza Plateau, has the body of a lion and the head of a human. Over the years, weather influences have affected the statue, and our Egyptologist will explain some more about the whereabouts of the destroyed nose! The Great Sphinx of Giza acts as a guardian over the Giza Necropolis, and from its location, you can see the Giza Valley Temple, our next destination.

Giza Valley Temple

The Giza Valley Temple, also known as Valley Temple of Khafre, is located at the foot of the Chephren Pyramid, not far from the Great Sphinx of Giza. With a short walk of a few meters, you reach the pillars of the unfinished Giza Valley Temple, our last stop on the Giza Plateau. We interrupt our excursion to Cairo capital with Cairo Pyramids and Egyptian Museum for a traditional lunch in a local restaurant. After a delicious meal, we drive to the city center for a visit at the

Egyptian Museum – Cairo Museum

Egyptian Museum Cairo: Let our Egyptologist convince you that a museum visit at the Cairo Museum is anything but boring! Inside the Egyptian Museum, our small group will be welcomed by giant monumental statues that are waiting for their visitors. One of the highlights you definitely shouldn’t miss is the Golden mask and the grave goods of the child King Tutankhamun. You will be surprised by the filigree art of goldsmithing, a true masterpiece of the artists with the tools available in the time of the Pharaohs.

Another highlight are the countless mummies of various pharaohs that allow you to discover the high art of mummification. The mummies in the Cairo Museum are in a separate room protected from possible temperature fluctuations and once again reflect the presence of true masters in their areas thousands and thousands of years ago. We give you enough time to visit the most interesting artefacts of the Egyptian Museum. A complete tour would take several days, but we are sure that this won’t be your last visit after this impressive Tour.

After a fascinating visit to the Egyptian Museum in a small group, together with Sempre Travel Egypt, we make our way back to your accommodation in Marsa Alam.
